Subject: I am Gutson Borglum's Great Grand NieceI found your article very informative. I enjoyed your candid opinion.
Unfortunately family does not always divulge the truth. I believe his brother was a better person.
Anyhow, if you have any articles you or your assistant can direct/send me, I would be most appreciative.

I don't know how to reach Wendy, but she sounded disappointed that I so briefly mentioned the first transcontinental auto trip by a family. Never fear, Wendy, I devoted an entire chapter to the 1908 Murdock trip in a Stanford Univ. Press book that preceded The Record-Setting Trips. The first volume is titled Coast to Coast by Automobile: The Pioneering Trips, 1899-1908, also published by SUP.
Thank you again for including my book in your magazine.
Cheers,
Curt McConnell

The only things different was it was a witch of a doctor who called the DMV and then when the neurologist didn't return the forms my license did get suspended. I did get the forms and send them in, but now I get to put up with all the insurance groups, who after give me a quote and I explain my situation about the medical suspension, they smile and say oh, it will be fine and a month later I am getting accused of committing fraud and them saying I have a traffic suspension and take away my good driving privilege discount and double my insurance. And now for the last year and a half I have been e-mailing state legislators and still no help.
