Michelangelo

Hi my name is ally medhurst and i am in year 12 at Faith Lutheran Secondary Collage in Tanunda, South Australia.
As part of our art studies we were asked to do a individual study on a topic of our choice and i am currently studying Michelangelo and how strong the influence of the Church on the sistine Chapel swayed the paintings.
I have read all your information and i found it very informative and it has helped me a great deal. If you have any extra information on this topic it would be very much appreciated and i would owe you a greate dept of thanks.

Hi, Ally:Thanks for your request. However, we have to report that we are as much in the dark as you are. Since we are stay-at-homes who do nothing but read and write for a living, we know next to nothing about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel outside of what we gleaned from Ross King's book --- Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling --- and John Lee's reading on Books on Tape.
All we know from people who have been there to see it is that it is so glorious that it can make a grown man (or woman) cry.
Which perhaps is why we haven't gone to see it. Yet.
If you go there, please let us know.
Meanwhile remember his words about art (and especially, his specialty, sculpture): "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."

hello there my name is Mrs. Deborah Forest. My husband and I are trying to find the book Cottage Water Systems by Max Burns. we would like to purchase it.
We have a piece of property and this book is what we have been looking for, for our answers with water systems and out houses. We would love to build some day and go green all we can also. I do hope you can help us.

debbie7@distributel.netHi, Debbie:And thanks for your letter.
Fortunately, we only review books, and don't have to sell them. We did look at ABE (the book exchange) and found eight used copies of Cottage Water Systems there.
Which, like Michelangelo [see above] also brought tears. The cheapest one cost about $50.
Why o why did we give away our copy? Because that's what we do. (All our review copies --- reviewed or not --- go to one of our local prison libraries.)
