X. J. Kennedy --- Elegy
A Ringtail Cat
La MalincheTo: carlosamantea@yahoo.comSubject: thank you I have been looking for this poem
I don't know where first saw it but I memorized it. just now tried to search for it to see who wrote it, the "little elegy" --- skipping rope.
something so haunting about it. I read it as a kid and never forgot it.
thanks for posting it...

To: carlosamantea@yahoo.comSubject: Similar to ringtail cat
I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills and have been seeing a lot of what appears to be similar to, but not a ringtail. Nocturnal, similar in color to a mt. lion, small around with a tail as long as body. Tail is same color as body w/ no stripes, only a dark tip. Could you please help ID? or direct me to online resource? Thank you.
