Black Culture - From the Beginning
A series of programs produced by Bobby Ellis featuring interviews and excerpts of the services held in Seattle inner-city churches in 1983
A look at black religions, churches, peoples through sermons of different religions and churches. Bobby Ellis hosts.
Bob West saved fifteen 10-inch reels, each about one hour in length. So far we have digitized services at the Macedonia Baptist Church (Rev William Eugene Davenport), the Upper Room Church of God In Christ (Rev Kelly Easter Jr), the Southside Church of Christ (Brother Charles R Webb), the Madison Park Church of Christ (Rev Isaiah Williams), and the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church Nbr 1 (Rev M. L. Whitman). Recordings will be added to the online archive over the coming months.
